Front Desk Medical Receptionist

Job Description

Full-time Medical Office Receptionist required for a growing Physiotherapy clinic in Belleville, Ontario. The role is suited to candidates who have demonstrated the ability to thrive in a patient-centered environment, have excellent organizational skills, an ability to prioritize and work independently and have experience working with and addressing the needs of multi-disciplinary teams including physiotherapists, chiropractors, kinesiologists, and massage therapists.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate is an experienced Medical Office Receptionist who possesses excellent communication and client service skills. The role is responsible for creating a welcoming, patient centered environment while seamlessly managing administrative work and responding to the needs of patients and clinic staff.

  • Manage all aspects of the patient experience including new patient procedures, scheduling, payments, addressing inquiries / concerns etc.

  • Manage timely response and documentation of all communications including mail / e-mail correspondence and phone calls.

  • Manage the organization of and responses to mailing/ electronic submission and tracking of medical reports/results to patients, insurers, WSIB or other facilities.

  • Coordinate with and support clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of patient care.

  • Other administrative duties as required.

The Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 1-2 years Medical Office experience.

  • Medical Office Assistant or PTA/OTA Diploma program completed in Canada is an asset.

  • Ideal candidate has experience with patient scheduling, QuickBooks, dealing with WSIB, and insurance companies.

  • Excellent organizational skills; written, verbal and electronic communication skills.

  • Exceptional client service skills and reception experience.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and detail orientation.

  • Sound knowledge of electronic medical recording, patient scheduling, billing, and basic accounting skills.

  • Ability to work well and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment through accurate and efficient organization and multitasking skills.

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 based on experience

Kinesiologist

Job Description

This is a full-time position. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of experience implementing assessments, carrying over delegated treatment plans within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation setting, and will also have experience within sales and product promotion areas.

What We Are Looking For

PPSC is seeking a full-time Kinesiologist/Program Manager for the Belleville location.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an active partner in RTW (return to work) and FTW (fitness to work) activities

  • Conduct Ergonomic assessments and make recommendations, and communicate with PT, OT, and Chiropractic practitioners, and Prepare progress and discharge reports delegated by the treating clinician

  • Assist in worker education, training, and job coaching

  • Conduct Workplace Accommodation assessments and make recommendations

  • Treat Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), WSIB, and private patients in a gym setting

  • Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, follow-up, re-schedules.

  • Perform reassessment of client progress through functional testing

  • Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis

  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals

  • Conduct education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients

  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress, discharge, and complete tracking sheets.

  • Liaison with WSIB stakeholders to communicate patient progress

  • Assist with product sales, contacting insurance companies, follow up, order placement, and completion of the sales process.

The Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Graduate of University Kinesiology degree program

  • • Registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO)

  • • 2+ years' experience in multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs is a strong asset
